Coloring Tip

When stamping with younger children, stamp an outline image for them and let them color it in. 

The Basic Black Classic Pad is permanent, so I don't recommend having it as an option for kids to stamp with.

Popsicle Card

Whether you're attending a summer party or hosting one of your own, a popsicle card is sure to be a hit with the kids.  This one was designed by Sharon Miller to be an invitation, but I chose to make it a birthday card instead.  Just glue a popsicle stick to the back of the card and you're ready to go!

Make your own Die-Cut Shapes

The Big Shot works with card stock, fabric, chipboard, plastic and more... with this machine your projects will come together in seconds!

The best thing about this machine is that if you teach them how to use it safely and correctly, kids can use it by themselves.  Give them your bin of paper scraps and let them go.

Or create a project together.  Add die-cut images to embellish a bag or clothing.

The winner of the Kick Off Give Away is...

My favorite was "sewing". I was into making Barbie doll clothes, furniture, curtains etc. Most dresses were the "wrap" style with the fanciest lace my mom had. I tried very hard to make Barbie furniture out of wood, fabric and whatever I could stuff it with--usually old tiny pieces of material.

Paper Bag Puppets

The girls and I made some paper bag puppets this weekend, thanks to our recent back to school sale shopping.

This alligator puppet was one of the more difficult ones, but the girls love to attack each other with it.

The Big Shot made this puppet a snap and I did use sticky strip for extra hold.

Supplies used: Big Shot die-cut machine, Baskets & Blooms bigz xl die (for eyes), Pennant bigz xl die (for large snapping mouth), extended cutting pads, Glorious Green card stock, white computer paper, black marker, paper bag, glue stick and sticky strip
