Rachel whips out scrapbooking pages in minutes. It always amazes me!
Creating titles for her scrapbook pages is a great way to practice her letters. Her teacher is trying to get her to write with the correct mix of upper and lower case letters and this is a great way to practice.
How do you get your children to practice writing? Post a comment and give us your tips!

The thing I love about kids is that they don't have some of the inhibitions that adults do. When they craft they don't worry about it... they just do it!
Yesterday Rachel was home "sick" from school. Sick enough that I couldn't send her to school, but not too sick to be bouncing off the walls with a need for entertainment. So I let her loose in the stamping room while I was setting up for club and here's what she came up with...
Rachel was very proud of her artwork and took it to school today to give to her teacher.
KID TIP: Let your kids know what items they are allowed to use and what things are "off limits". I make sure that Rachel has plenty of accessories and papers of her own to use so that she doesn't use something of mine that I have for my own projects.

The outside of this card is basic and can be used for any occasion, however the insides give a pop-up surprise!
Here are some other views of this card made by Kristen Bryant...
The Word Window punch makes this pop-up card a piece of cake!
Once you have your card stock folded into your base card, simply slide the edge of it into the Word Window punch centered on the fold. Repeat on the other side, then fold the center piece into the card. Tape your image onto the small inside strip and you've got a pop-up!

Rachel headed off for her first day of Kindergarten today, and to start the year off right we made a little gift for her teacher.
The Teacher Survival Kit included band-aids (fun designs for girls AND boys), tic tacs, post-it notes, chocolates, and magnetic clips.
This adorable tote was made using the Box #2 die with the Big Shot. Just make two of the boxes (kids can make the Big Shot sandwich and turn the crank), and use sticky strip to adhere the boxes together. DON'T fold the box tops in. Attach the two boxes back to back and lid to lid with sticky strip. Use the Large Oval punch to create the tote handle. Decorate with designer series paper and ribbon.
